Louise is an innovator and a change agent who doesn’t sit still and whose passion and enthusiasm for health informatics is shaping a new future for HISA. Her appointment as CEO came on the back of 10 years of experience in, and applied passion for, health informatics. With a background as an occupational therapist and a PhD on technology acceptance amongst healthcare professionals, Louise is a world leader in allied health informatics and is intimately connected to Australia's substantial health reform efforts, where e-health is a key enabler to achieving high quality, safe, sustainable and patient-centred care. In addition to her leadership of HISA, Louise is part of NEHTA’s Clinical Leads team and previously chaired the E-Health International Advisory Group of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. When she isn't hiking in the mountains of Nepal, Joanna is HISA's financial guru - directing and managing the financial affairs of HISA. Joanna is a fully qualified accountant, registered BAS Agent, and is currently studying towards the CPA program. She has worked for a number of years within the commerce sector managing the financial affairs of an IT company, and more recently in the not-for-profit healthcare sector.
|  | Nicola Tatham Conference Manager Nicola has recently joined HISA as the Conference Manager, bringing with with her 5 years experience coordinating conferences in the not-for-profit sector. Nicola’s role involves overseeing the annual HIC Conference as well as additional smaller meetings held throughout the year and also managing the conference team. Nicola has a Degree in Biology and Diploma in event management. Nicola has recently moved from Sydney and is loving getting to know everything Melbourne has to offer like the restaurants, parks for running and picnics and the F1! |  | Katrina Barbuto Conference and Events Assistant Katrina is the youngest member to join HISA’s conference and events A-Team! Katrina’s role as Conference and Events Assistant, sees her assisting the conference manager, Nicola and burying her head in HIC registrations. Katrina has a Diploma of Event Management and has experience in assisting the coordination of many conferences. |  | Biba Ignjatovic Creative Director Biba is HISA's creative geek. Her job involves creating and managing HISA's branding and image across all media platforms including web and publishing. She has been working across the globe in web related environments and not-for-profit sectors for the last 15 years.

Amanda joined HISA’s HealthBeyond team in 2011 as the Community Engagement Officer. With an academic background in Consurmer Science, Food Science/Nutrition Amanda has become part of the furniture at HISA HQ. Responsible for the coordination of all HISA State Bracnch/SIG’s and their profesional development events, driving and providing accouint managment to HISA Corporate Partners and things inbetween. |  | Samantha Bruinewoud Digital Media Strategist

Vera comes to HISA with extensive experience in the Administrative field within the Insurance and Finance Industry. Her role at HISA is not only to ensure the smooth running of the office but to assist Louise wherever possible. Vera also has a great weakness for anything sweet and believes that chocolate fixes everything. She enjoys family life with her husband, seven year old daughter, dog Tomas and Casey the cat.

"In the Beginning, there was the Basement… which was also sometimes referred to as the Dungeon…" Luckily for Suzanna the roles of Health Information Managers are no longer restricted to such places. In today’s dynamic healthcare industry Health Information Managers such as Suzanna are able to work in a variety of organisations in a diverse range of non-traditional roles. After venturing out of the traditional hospital setting Suzanna had her first taste of a non-traditional role at the Cancer Council of Victoria and it was there that she developed a passion for the not-for-profit sector while working amongst other health professionals. Since finding another great fit at HISA Suzanna has really settled into her role as the Membership & Programs Officer and is here to help you with all your day to day membership needs.
