HISA state branches are run by committed and dedicated volunteers. These passionate individuals give HISA a local presence throughout Australia and host events and networking opportunities throughout the year.
Objectives of HISA Branches
- To promote health informatics in healthcare and in the wider community.
 - To provide networking and education opportunities for HISA members.
- To advance cooperation and the dissemination and exchange of information.
- To promote research, education, training and development to support e-health.
- To represent the interests of state informatics at the national level.

All HISA members automatically become members of their local branch when joining HISA and are subscribed to the branch email list.

HISA NSW » HISA NSW provides a forum for discussing health informatics issues and brings together the diversity of personnel involved in health informatics and e-health. It promotes networking amongst members and opportunities to keep up to date with the vast array of developments within health informatics and e-health through its regular meetings.HISA NSW is proud to host the national Health Informatics Conference (HIC) 2012 in Sydney, 29 July - 3 August.HISA QLD » The Queensland Branch of HISA has regular forums on current topical issues.
