HISA QLD - Networking with State and Federal CCIOs

Join the HISA QLD committee and branch members for a fantastic networking opportunity with Prof Keith McNeil and Dr Monica Trujillo.

After an illustrious career in the NHS, Prof Keith McNeil has returned to Australia as Queensland’s first state Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) and Assistant Deputy Director General.

Dr Monica Trujillo, who also hails from Queensland, landed the very cool job as the CCIO for the Australian Digital Health Agency and is responsible for clinical engagement and leadership with Australia’s National Digital Health Strategy.

This is your opportunity to spend some time with Keith and Monica and your other friends and colleagues from the digital health community.  HISA CEO, Dr Louise Schaper, will also be in attendance.

We are looking forward to seeing you there!  And for those of you who are clinicians, don’t forget to join the national CXIO Network here.

Prof Keith McNeil Chief Clinical Information Officer, Queensland Government

Prof McNeil held a similar role in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) before being appointed Assistant Deputy Director-General, Clinical Excellence Division, and Chief Clinical Information Officer. He has previously held a number of roles in Queensland Health, most recently as the Chief Executive of the Metro North Hospital and Health Service. Professor McNeil said the purpose of his new role, a first for Queensland, was to guide Queensland Health’s journey into a more digitised environment and harness the power of data.
