Karen Keogh HWL Ebsworth Lawyers

Karen Keogh will discuss privacy, data security and managing legal risks associated with the set up and use of electronic medical records. She will also look at the growing use of cyber insurance to cover losses arising from such risks and the extent of cover provided by such insurance.

Karen's specific area of expertise is as a Health Industry lawyer. She has acted for a diverse range of clients specialising in corporate and commercial work, including corporate governance, privacy, regulatory matters, disciplinary proceedings, com-mercial contracts, industrial matters, risk management and coronial inquiries. Karen is named in Best Lawyers™ Australia 2019 edition for Health & Aged Care Law and Medical Negligence. Karen is currently the Deputy Chair of The Law Society of New South Wales Privacy and Data Law Committee and a member of the Medico-Legal Society of New South Wales.
